Identifying Your Students Learning Style

Identifying your students as visual, auditory, reading/writing or kinesthetic learners, and aligning your overall curriculum with these learning styles, will prove to be beneficial for your entire classroom. Allowing students to access information in terms they are comfortable with will increase their academic confidence.

I have experience when teaching English to my six year old nephew named Velin. I taught her the difference of the command sentence with the asking sentence. my other four-year-old niece, Varou, was not far from where we were studying. when I taught repeatedly, Velin had not understood. but when I ask again, does the phrase "you should do your homework right now" is a command sentence or the asking sentence, Velin still can not understand. then Varou answered while shouting, "that's a command sentence"

varou does not need to see text or books to understand, he is auditory learner. he will be easier to learn and understand by way of discussion. but finally I understand with method that I can teach Velin when I understand with lerning style. Velin prefers motion so I have to figure out how to do it and to demonstrate it to Velin so she will understands what I teach. because Velin is a kinesthetic learner.

By understanding what kind of learner you and/or your students are, you can now gain a better perspective on how to implement these learning styles into your lesson plans and study techniques.
